The pickup place is Dehradun/Haridwar/Rishikesh railway station early in the morning. The journey uphill from Pick Up point to Lohajung will take you cruising through mountain alleyways connecting the lower Himalayan belt of Garhwal hills to that of Garhwal. This is going to be a 10-11 hours drive, despite the marvelous changing vistas of the mountains. For the first few hours, the course of our journey will be running parallel to river Ganga and Alaknanda, flowing softly. Soon, a blustery Pindar river will meet our path.

Pick up time is 6:00 am to 7:00 am at the Dehradun railway station. Exact time you will be updated by our Trek Leader.
Route: PickUp Point - Rishikesh - Devprayag - Srinagar - Rudraprayag - Karnaprayag - Lohajung.

We will start the trek after breakfast. The first day’s trek spanning 5 hours will kick off from Lohajung up a snaky trail going into the forest. After a short while the forest will give way to a small village named Mandoli to your left. Take approximately an hour’s hike after crossing the last stream to reach the beautiful Bekaltal gleaming peacefully in the summer while partially frozen over in the winters.

Today’s trek will take you through thickets of oaks and rhododendrons over steep slopes for quite some time before finally coming out to a meadow. This is the meadow of Telandi. In the winter, you will find the green expanse of Telandi transform into a vast snowfield and crossing the area, a gala of thrill.

Start your day early in the morning as you will be heading towards the Brahmatal lake which is an uphill climb.This is the biggest and most important day of the trek. We are destined to conquer the Brahmatal and then descend back to Brahmatal campsite.

You will be greeted with Oak and Rhododendron trees on the way which have a charm of their own. After a while, the zigzag ascent trail will take you Brahmatal Lake. After walking for a while and crossing the meadow, the final climb towards the pass begins. It will be a tiring walk towards Brahmtal but as soon as you reach the top you will be greeted with a magnificent view of Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti. Take your time and click some jaw-dropping pictures that will last a lifetime.

Brahmatal is located at an altitude of 12,600 feet while Brahmatal campsite is located at 10,735 feet. The total trekking distance is around 7.6 kilometres and it will take approximately 5-6 hours to complete the day’s journey.This is ideally a long day but the exhilarating journey to conquer the peak will be worth the challenges that may lay ahead in front of us.

After having an early and healthy morning breakfast, we will set out for the next trail which is straight forward to Lohajung village. The schedule for today is to descend from Brahmatal basecamp to Lohajung which is located at an altitude of 7,662 feet above the mean sea level.

The total trekking distance is 9 kilometres and it will take approximately 6-7 hours to complete this journey. We have to descend around 3,000 feet through oak and rhododendron trees. This isa very ecstatic trek which will give you ample time to click an endless number of scenic pictures.There is only one water point. So, make sure you have a sufficient amount of filled bottles yourself.

Drive 300 km
This is the last day of the Brahamtal Trekking tour. We will drive back to Dehradun from Lohajung village after breakfast. A return drive of 300 kilometres on the beautiful trail will advance you to Dehradun where it all began.

You will again pass through Rudraprayag, Srinagar and Rishikesh. Don’t forget to take photographs this time. In the middle, we will have our lunch and play some games on the way back to our Drop off Point as Per Package Details . You’ll reach to Drop off Location between 6 pm and 7 pm or it may get delayed a bit subjected to road blocks or traffic Jams. This will mark the end of your journey along with us. Trekking services will end here.
