Most of the Char Dham Tours commence from Haridwar. Some of the tour operators may also offer Char Dham Packages from Rishikesh or Dehradun as well.

The traditional route is Haridwar -> Yamunotri -> Gangotri -> Kedarnath -> Badrinath -> Haridwar. Pilgrims often follow a clockwise direction, starting from Yamunotri.

Weather varies as Char Dham Yatra lasts for 6 months each year. But if you consider visiting during the recommended seasons, it is generally mild to cool. It is very important to check the weather forecast regularly and be prepared for changing conditions.
During Winters from late November to April, the Char Dham shrines are usually inaccessible due to heavy snowfall, and the temples are closed for the season.
