Har Ki Dun, a cradle-shaped hanging valley located at a height of 11,675 ft. is one of the oldest and most popular treks in the Garhwal region of the Himalayas. The region is surrounded with green high pasture lands, snow-covered peaks and alpine vegetation. It is not only a historic site of the Himalayan trek, but also an ideal destination to explore, thanks to its magnificent view of the mountains, forests, grasslands, rivers and streams. The journey begins from the village of sankri also known as small paradise and passes through the four remaining communities of Himalayan villages: Dhatmir, Gangad ,Panwani and osla. In comparison to other treks, the trail is not as sudden and steep. As a result, this hike is suitable for beginners.
