Borasu Pass Trek

The Borasu pass, at a height of 5,450 metres, is a high mountain pass that connects Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. It was a prehistoric trade route between Har ki Dun valley and Kinnaur valley, which is now an epic journey for trekkers and mountaineers. The trek begins in Taluka and winds its way through the lush green Har ki Dun valley. Har ki Dun is a hanging valley in the Garhwal Himalayas that offers breathtaking views of the mountains, forests, and grasslands. So, the best time to do the trek is May to the last week of October because in the pre-monsoon the trail remains covered in snow, and the climb gets tough.

The journey begins in Sankri, also known as Small Paradise, a village that serves as the starting point for over twenty-five treks in Uttarakhand. With its wooden houses and traditional way of life, the Sankri settlement on the outskirts of the Himalayas has a distinct appeal. Another highlight of this trek is the cradle-shaped hanging Har ki Dun valley, which features green high pasture lands, snow-covered peaks, and alpine vegetation.
